IF YOU RENT RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES, THIS NEW SIGNAGE REQUIREMENT APPLIES TO YOU…PERIOD! ACT NOW AND GET YOUR SIGN FROM THE APARTMENT ASSOCIATION OF GREATER LOS ANGELES. 

The City of Los Angeles NOW requires the posting of NEW SIGNAGE at ALL RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTIES. This new requirement applies to residential rental housing of all types, including properties subject to the City’s Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO), State Rent Control Law (e.g., A.B. 1482) and also any exempt residential rent properties. IF YOU RENT HOUSING OF ANY KIND IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES, THIS NEW SIGNAGE REQUIREMENT APPLIES TO YOU. This signage requirement applies to single family homes, condominiums, new construction, accessory dwelling units (ADUs) you are renting in addition to all rent controlled properties under the City of Los Angeles RSO and state rent control.

Landlords of residential properties in the City of Los Angeles must provide a summary of renters’ rights for tenancies that commenced or were renewed on or after January 27, 2023. A copy of the summary of renters’ rights is available from the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles Forms Library (See Form G.6 – “Los Angeles (City) Renters Protection Notice”). In addition, this new notice must posted in an accessible common area of the rental property.
