Cal Poly Pomona Broncos, with former South Pasadena Senior High School star Allysan Tse, edged out the Azusa Pacific Cougars 56-54 in NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament action on Friday, March 13.

The first-round game, held at Nicholson Arena at 12 p.m., marked the initial tournament faceoff between Cal Poly Pomona and Azusa Pacific.

Cal Poly Pomona advances to the next round and will play again Saturday, March 14 at 5 p.m. at Nicholson Arena.
