CITY OF LOS ANGELES: Child Care Grant for Single Parents

City of Los Angeles issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.

Apply now! The City of Los Angeles Child Care Grant for single parents will provide eligible parents up to $1K per month for six months in childcare support and employment training opportunities! The program will also provide financial resources to licensed childcare providers who were negatively impacted by the pandemic. 

Eligibility for childcare support:-Parent must reside within the City of LA-Parent with Dependent Child under age 14-Low to Moderate Income OR Presumed Low Income Population-Enrolled in Qualified Training Program OR Returning to the Workforce-Impacted by COVID-19

Eligibility for training:-Parent with Dependent Aged Child-Low to Moderate Income OR Presumed Low Income Population-Returning to the Workforce-Impacted by COVID-19

The payment will go directly to the childcare provider, not the parent. Parents are responsible for the remaining cost of childcare that the grant does not cover.
