City of LosAngeles issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.

The Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment Spread the Warmth Blanket and Socks drive is in full swing until Dec. 30. 

The following donations are greatly encouraged:-new and gently used (washed and clean) blankets, sleeping bags, and quilts, -new and gently used (washed and clean) socks are greatly encouraged 

Please take a moment to check your closets for these items. All donated items will benefit the City’s unhoused community.
