Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing issues related to former President Donald Trump and immigration enforcement under his administration.
On February 9, 2026, Kamlager-Dove raised concerns regarding a business transaction involving Donald Trump and the United Arab Emirates. She wrote, “Donald Trump approved the sale of 500,000 AI chips to the UAE just a few months after an UAE royal bought a 49% stake in Trump’s crypto company. Is this sh*t legal? No, no, and HELL no.”
Later that day, she posted another message referencing what appears to be a pattern or expected sequence of events: “Like clockwork.”
In her third tweet on February 9, Kamlager-Dove commented on data about individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during what she referred to as “Trump 2.0.” She stated: “Merely 14% of those detained by ICE under Trump 2.0 have charges or convictions for violent crimes. This was never about ‘criminals.'”
Sydney Kamlager-Dove began representing California’s 37th district in Congress in 2023 after serving terms in both the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and the California Senate from 2021 to 2023. She succeeded Karen Bass as representative for the district and currently resides in Los Angeles after being born in Chicago in 1972. Kamlager-Dove holds a BA from the University of Southern California.
