On November 8, 2025, Kamlager-Dove publicly questioned Senate Republican Whip John Thune’s position regarding government funding and health care subsidies. She wrote, “Can a reporter please ask Senator Thune why it’s a ‘nonstarter’ to extend government funding AND the ACA enhanced tax credits at the current levels so we can open the government and ensure Americans’ health care premiums don’t double? Thanks!”
