WASHINGTON, DC – On May 4, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) released the following statement following the conviction of four members of the Proud Boys for their involvement in the January 6th, 2021, attack:

β€œThe events that took place on January 6th remain a stain on American democracy. The guilty verdict today against the Proud Boys, an extremist group, is a win for truth, democracy, and our Constitution. The four members were charged with seditious conspiracy. It is up to us to ensure that the lawlessness, extremism, and chaos we saw on January 6th does not prevail. I applaud the work of the Department of Justice for holding these individuals accountable and hope that more justice can be served in the days ahead.”
