The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) has announced that the south wing of its soon-to-open David Geffen Galleries will be named the Ressler Family Wing. This decision recognizes Jami Gertz and Tony Ressler for their significant support of the Building LACMA campaign. In addition, Willow Bay, a long-serving trustee, has been elected as co-chair of the board of trustees alongside Tony Ressler.
“On behalf of our entire family, we are grateful to have been able to help make this new building possible,” said Jami Gertz and Tony Ressler. “We are excited for Angelenos and visitors from around the world to experience this dynamic new space at LACMA.”
Willow Bay commented on her new role: “I am honored to serve as co-chair at this important moment in LACMA’s history and look forward to working with Tony and my fellow trustees as we open these extraordinary new galleries.”
Michael Govan, CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director of LACMA, expressed appreciation for both leaders: “Jami Gertz and Tony Ressler have made an extraordinary impact on LACMA through their generosity, leadership, and dedication. I am also thrilled that Willow Bay will serve as co-chair alongside Tony—her commitment to education, community engagement, and arts access is unmatched.”
