Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 34th district, posted several messages on his official social media account addressing immigration enforcement in Los Angeles and offering gratitude to Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her decades of public service.
On November 5, 2025, Rep. Gomez alerted constituents about immigration enforcement activities in the Salvadoran Corridor of Los Angeles, writing: “ICE is active in the Salvadoran Corridor in LA terrorizing our community. You DO NOT have to speak to them. Stay safe and share this so people know their rights.”
The following day, November 6, he publicly thanked Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her contributions to both California and the nation: “Thank you, @SpeakerPelosi, for over four decades of service to California and our country. Your leadership didn’t just shape history, it inspired a better, more hopeful future for my son and every child growing up in America. Your work & legacy will guide us for decades to come.”
Later that same day, Rep. Gomez commented on political rhetoric by stating: “Gotta admire how boldly he condemns their own agenda.”
Rep. Jimmy Gomez has served as the representative for California’s 34th District since 2017 after replacing Xavier Becerra. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2017. Born in Orange County in 1974 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Gomez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
