Jimmy Gomez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 34th district since 2017, has recently taken to social media to address significant issues he perceives in current political policies. A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Gomez resides in Los Angeles and is actively involved in community engagement.

On March 20, 2025, Jimmy Gomez posted a tweet featuring two links: “https://t.co/VFrlEcOEyP https://t.co/eDrHcQgu5S”.

Later that day, at 21:39 UTC, he tweeted about potential threats to Social Security benefits: ” Republicans, Elon Musk & Trump are pushing policies that could gut millions of Americans’ Social Security benefits. Save the date for my Town Hall on 3/28 in LA to learn how I’m fighting to protect your benefits.”

In another tweet on the same day at 22:26 UTC, Gomez expressed concerns over food safety regulations under the Trump administration: “Trump is making America sick. My son is a toddler, so I know how crucial safe food is for his development. But the Trump admin. has shut down 2 key food safety committees focused on preventing bacteria in baby formula. We can’t let these protections slip away.”
