Rep. Jimmy Gomez, who represents California’s 34th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 6, 2025, commenting on recent political developments and a federal court order regarding SNAP funding.
In one tweet at 20:03 UTC, Gomez remarked, “Nothing weird about that at all.” Later that evening at 21:13 UTC, he posted another message simply stating, “MAHA”.
At 22:06 UTC the same day, Gomez shared news about a judicial decision affecting the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), writing: “BREAKING: A federal judge just ordered Trump to fully fund SNAP for November by tomorrow. Because apparently the President needs a court order to force him to feed hungry families.”
Gomez has served in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Xavier Becerra. Prior to his tenure in the House of Representatives, he was a member of the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2017. Born in Orange County in 1974 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Gomez holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
