Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 34th district since 2017, posted several messages on his social media account criticizing House Republicans and commenting on political issues.
On October 20, 2025, Gomez posted: “While federal employees wonder how they’ll make rent, House Republicans showed up to work just 20 days in four months and still get paid on time.”
Later that day, he posted another message referencing movie posters and calling for the release of certain files: “More sombreros = more movie posters. Hope you like this one, Donny. #ReleasetheEpsteinFiles”
On October 21, 2025, Gomez commented on a Trump nominee: “NOT BREAKING NEWS: Trump nominee gets caught sending racist and pro-nazi texts.”
Gomez has served in Congress since replacing Xavier Becerra in 2017 and previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2017. Born in Orange County in 1974, he currently resides in Los Angeles and is an alumnus of the University of California, Los Angeles.
