Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 34th district since 2017, voiced strong criticism of the Senate and ongoing healthcare policy debates in a series of posts on November 10, 2025.

In one post published at 02:21 UTC, Gomez wrote, “The Senate might fold, but I sure as hell won’t. Families are getting crushed by rising costs & as these healthcare tax credits expire, it’s only going to get worse. And now the Senate wants us to ‘trust’ them to fix it later with a debate on a bill, maybe? I’m a F-NO!”

Later that day at 16:58 UTC, he commented further on healthcare policy discussions with another post: “Say you don’t have a healthcare plan without saying you don’t have a healthcare plan.”

Addressing broader political issues at 18:24 UTC the same day, Gomez posted: “Imagine being lectured on ‘patriotism’ by a guy flying to Mar-a-Lago on the taxpayer’s dime while air-traffic-controllers and federal workers continue to go unpaid.”

Gomez has represented California’s 34th District in Congress since succeeding Xavier Becerra in 2017. Prior to his time in Congress, he served in the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2017. Born in Orange County in 1974 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Gomez is an alumnus of the University of California, Los Angeles.
