Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 34th district since 2017, posted a series of critical remarks on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on December 2, 2025.

In one post from the early morning hours, Gomez wrote: “Trump’s hand is so far up Mike Johnson’s ass, he’s just talking for him.” (December 2, 2025).

Later that day, Gomez posted another message: “This you? https://t.co/MfTHwDsUjQ https://t.co/ZbXSdXQNmv” (December 2, 2025).

In a third tweet that afternoon, he commented: “My toddler takes less naps than this guy.” (December 2, 2025).

Gomez has represented California’s 34th District in Congress since replacing Xavier Becerra in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2017. Born in Orange County in 1974 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Gomez holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
