Update from Los Angeles Unified Regarding COVID-19, RSV and the Flu | Los Angeles Unified School District

Rapid antigen COVID-19 tests are currently available at all school sites for students to take home before winter break. Schools will receive a second allocation of rapid antigen tests during the first week of school in January 2023. Students are encouraged to take a rapid antigen test on January 7-8 and January 15-16. Principals will communicate further details to their school communities.

We will also continue to provide reminders on staying healthy during this winter season. This includes handwashing, getting vaccinated for COVID-19 and the Flu and recommending masking during times of high transmission of respiratory viruses.

Updates or changes in guidance from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health that impact the daily operations of Los Angeles Unified will be communicated to families and employees before the spring semester begins.
