WASHINGTON, DC – On April 18, Rep. Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) released the following statement on Yom HaShoah:
“Today, we come together to remember the six million Jews who lost their lives during the Holocaust and honor their collective strength and resistance during one of the darkest chapters of our history. As we reflect today, we also must stand firm in our resolve to confront antisemitism where it still exists across the world and here at home. Antisemitic incidents across the country and in Los Angeles are on the rise. We know all too well what hatred and bigotry can breed, and we must work together to confront hate in our communities while teaching inclusivity and unity in the process. The heroic Warsaw Uprising was eighty years ago, but for many, its lessons of resilience, perseverance, and hope remain strong even today.
"I join the Jewish community in Los Angeles and those around the world in remembering the horror and loss of the Holocaust while uplifting the spirit and legacy of those who never backed down in the face of tyranny.”
