Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues and events on her official Twitter account on December 6, 2025.
In a post made early that day, Kamlager-Dove condemned an incident targeting the Jewish community in Los Angeles. She wrote, “I am abhorred by this heinous incident and stand with our LA Jewish community against antisemitism. We must be clear: vandalizing and harassing a synagogue is blatant antisemitism, and it will not be tolerated. I’m grateful to law enforcement for swiftly resolving the situation.” (December 6, 2025).
Later that afternoon, she announced her appearance on national television to discuss recent developments in Congress. Kamlager-Dove posted, “After another chaotic week in Congress, I’ll be joining Alex Witt on @MSNOWNews today at 2PM ET/11AM PT to break down the latest out of Washington. Tune in!” (December 6, 2025).
In a third message that evening, she highlighted her office’s engagement with local communities throughout Los Angeles. The tweet stated, “Over the past few months, my office has brought the funk to LA at vibrant community celebrations and insightful gatherings. As we head into the final stretch of the year, my office will continue to show up for incredible local events and organizations—rain or shine.” (December 6, 2025).
Sydney Kamlager-Dove has represented California’s 37th district since replacing Karen Bass in Congress in 2023. Before her current role in Washington D.C., she served in both chambers of California’s state legislature—from the State Assembly between 2018 and 2021 and then as a member of the State Senate until her election to Congress.
She was born in Chicago in 1972 and resides in Los Angeles.
Kamlager-Dove graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
