Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on April 15, 2026, addressing congressional responsibility, presidential fitness for office, and tax filing reminders.

As those who drafted the 25th Amendment intended, there must be an independent body that can determine if a president is unfit for office—I’m proud to co-sponsor this bill.”

Sydney Kamlager-Dove has represented California’s 37th district since replacing Karen Bass in 2023. Before her current role in Congress, she served in both the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and the California Senate from 2021 to 2023. Born in Chicago in 1972 and now residing in Los Angeles, Kamlager-Dove earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1994.
