Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed several key policy issues and commemorations through her social media posts.

On November 10, 2025, Kamlager-Dove criticized former President Donald Trump’s use of export controls, stating: “Trump cannot keep using export controls as bargaining chips and brazenly violating the law in the process. It is categorically illegal to charge a fee in exchange for the ability to export dual-use technologies abroad. Proud to introduce my bill with @CongressmanRaja that would https://t.co/p1Ukbxa2Bw”.

In another post on November 11, 2025, she addressed concerns about food security amid ongoing risks to SNAP benefits: “With SNAP benefits still at risk, Los Angeles is stepping up with food distribution sites and programs across our district. I’ll keep fighting to protect SNAP. If you currently need assistance, visit https://t.co/nfjbJdxPtm to find food resources near you. https://t.co/Xf5MVqKiFz”.

Later that day, Kamlager-Dove marked Veterans Day by expressing gratitude toward veterans: “Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of our veterans. We also celebrate their stories and the work they continue to do to strengthen our communities long after their time in uniform. To our veterans in LA and across the country: thank you! https://t.co/FBSv7aXzJE”.

Sydney Kamlager-Dove began serving in Congress in 2023 after replacing Karen Bass. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in both the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and the California Senate from 2021 to 2023. Born in Chicago in 1972 and now residing in Los Angeles, Kamlager-Dove graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
