Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, has used her social media platform to address a range of current issues, from sports ticket pricing to fuel costs and labor movement accountability.
On March 17, 2026, Kamlager-Dove posted about rising World Cup ticket prices: “FIFA’s World Cup ticket prices are out of control. That’s why I led 69 House Democrats in demanding that FIFA end dynamic pricing and lower the prices.
Don’t score an own goal, FIFA. The World Cup is for the fans.”
Later the same day, she addressed increasing gasoline costs and linked them to ongoing international conflict: “Gas prices have skyrocketed to $3.79 per gallon nationwide—and it’s $5.63 here in LA.
We’re already paying for this stupid, reckless war of choice at the pump—we are not about to fork over $100 billion in taxpayer dollars for it too.”
On March 20, 2026, Kamlager-Dove responded to reports concerning César Chávez: “The revelations about César Chávez are deeply disturbing and serious. I stand with Dolores Huerta, Ana Murguia, Debra Rojas, and all survivors.
But the labor movement is bigger than one man—and a movement is only as strong as its willingness to hold its leaders accountable.
I’m”
Sydney Kamlager-Dove has served in Congress since replacing Karen Bass in 2023. She previously held positions in both the California State Assembly (2018-2021) and Senate (2021-2023). Born in Chicago in 1972 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Kamlager-Dove graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in 1994.
