Sydney Kamlager-Dove, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 37th district, has been vocal on social media about various pressing issues. Her recent tweets address concerns ranging from human rights violations to community support and educational equity.

On March 12, 2025, Kamlager-Dove highlighted the case of Mahmoud Khalil, a U.S. permanent resident detained for his political speech without charge. He was transferred to a facility in Louisiana with no information available to his family regarding his whereabouts. She described this situation as “disappearing,” a practice she associates with dictatorships.

Later that day, she expressed her solidarity with the Greater Los Angeles Hindu community following an incident of hate. As the Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on South and Central Asia, she reaffirmed her commitment to combating hate both domestically and internationally: “I am appalled by this vile act of hate.”

In another tweet posted on March 12, 2025, Kamlager-Dove criticized actions by individuals named Don and Elon for allegedly firing civil servants who assist students with disabilities and those in high-poverty school districts. She emphasized that “every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn, grow, & succeed.”
