Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on her social media account addressing recent legislative developments and congressional milestones.

Later that day, she acknowledged the swearing-in of a new member of Congress. In her tweet from November 12, 2025, she wrote: “After FIFTY days, @AdelitaForAZ has finally been sworn in as a Member of Congress.

I had the honor of serving as Vice Ranking Member to her father, Raúl. It will be an honor to serve alongside her too.

We’re now at 218 signatures. Release the damn files! https://t.co/4xeUA2hekF

In another statement posted on November 13, 2025, Kamlager-Dove expressed opposition to recent legislative action in Congress regarding government funding and health care. She stated: “I just voted HELL NO on Trump and Republicans’ shady, dirty continuing resolution that does absolutely nothing to address their health care crisis.

Over the last 43 days, they demonstrated over and over that they just don’t care.

Sydney Kamlager-Dove has represented California’s 37th district since replacing Karen Bass in 2023. Before joining Congress, she served in the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and in the California Senate from 2021 to 2023. Born in Chicago in 1972 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Kamlager-Dove holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California.
