Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing federal spending priorities, immigration enforcement impacts, and international sports diplomacy.
On February 3, 2026, Kamlager-Dove criticized Republican fiscal policies in a post stating: “Republicans aren’t willing to spend money on the American people. But they are willing to spend your tax dollars on Donald Trump.”
The following day, she discussed her engagement with religious leaders regarding immigration enforcement actions. On February 4, 2026, she wrote: “Last week, I convened and met with faith leaders from across my district and California to understand how ICE raids are affecting their congregations and the families they serve. I remain committed to partnering with interfaith leaders to protect immigrant families and houses of”
On February 5, 2026, Kamlager-Dove highlighted efforts in sports diplomacy by applauding collaboration between major organizations. She stated: “Glad to see the NFL and the @StateDept join forces to increase sports diplomacy efforts. Sports have the power to bring us together and spark connections across cultures—football is a uniquely American sport, and its potential for growth worldwide will help us build bridges.”
Kamlager-Dove has served as the representative for California’s 37th District since 2023 after succeeding Karen Bass. Prior to her current role in Congress, she served in both the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and the California Senate from 2021 until her congressional election in 2023. Born in Chicago in 1972 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Kamlager-Dove graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in 1994.
