Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her social media accounts regarding tax deadlines, foreign policy, and immigration legislation.
On April 15, 2026, Kamlager-Dove reminded constituents about the federal tax filing deadline: “Reminder: Today is the last day to file your 2025 taxes. If you need more time, you can submit a Form 4868 for an extension. Check if you’re eligible to file for free https://t.co/R6AxsnfiKL”.
The following day, she addressed recent developments in U.S. foreign policy and criticized former President Donald Trump’s actions concerning Iran: “The truth is simple and clear: Trump has launched an illegal, reckless war of choice on Iran that is further empowering the regime and tanking our economy. The power to declare war lies with Congress, not Trump. By failing to rein him in, House Republicans have once again https://t.co/USkAMdcJ7j”. This post highlighted concerns over executive authority in military decisions.
Later that same day, Kamlager-Dove shared legislative news related to immigration policy: “Some good news: @RepLauraGillen & @RepPressley’s legislation to extend Temporary Protected Status for Haitian immigrants passed! TPS grants safe harbor to immigrants fleeing countries facing conflict and disaster, including 350,000 Haitians. They must remain protected. https://t.co/BQ0wDwsClG”.
