On January 19, 2026, Kamlager-Dove posted two messages on X (formerly Twitter). The first included only links: “https://t.co/OFkwsUeWP4 https://t.co/iNk4nHqcfF” (posted at 21:07 UTC). Shortly after, she wrote, “Donald Trump is unfit to lead and clearly out of control. Invoke the 25th Amendment. https://t.co/J9esLCYavE” (posted at 21:27 UTC).
The following day, on January 20, Kamlager-Dove published another post criticizing Trump’s record one year into his presidency: “It’s been one year since Trump took office. What has he done for you? Raise costs. Cut health care. Terrorize communities with ICE. The list goes on. I’ll keep fighting against Trump’s out-of-control agenda. https://t.co/dA9tunvmQe” (posted at 20:04 UTC).
Sydney Kamlager-Dove has represented California’s 37th congressional district since replacing Karen Bass in 2023. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and in the California Senate from 2021 to 2023. Born in Chicago in 1972 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Kamlager-Dove graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in 1994.
