Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, used her social media platform on April 3 and 4, 2026, to comment on recent political developments and military actions involving the United States.
On April 3, Kamlager-Dove posted a direct message referencing an individual named Bondi: “We clapped back, boo. Bondi, you is fired!”.
Later that day, she criticized former President Donald Trump’s statements regarding domestic spending and his subsequent requests for increased defense funding: “It’s not possible for us to take care of day care, Medicaid, Medicare” – Donald Trump, just days before he requested:
– $1.5 TRILLION in defense spending, a 40% increase
– $350 BILLION for his illegal war on Iran
– And $152 MILLION to reopen Alcatraz
HELL NO to it all.
On April 4, Kamlager-Dove addressed news concerning U.S. military personnel involved in conflict with Iran: “I am grateful that one our brave fighter pilots who was shot down in Iran has been rescued, and I’m praying for the other’s safe return home.
They never should have been put in harm’s way like this. The cost of this war for servicemembers, Americans, & civilians wiIl only grow.”
Sydney Kamlager-Dove has served as a member of Congress since replacing Karen Bass in 2023. Before joining Congress, she represented California’s 37th District after terms in both the California State Assembly (2018–2021) and the California Senate (2021–2023). Born in Chicago in 1972 and now residing in Los Angeles at age 50, Kamlager-Dove graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in 1994.
