Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, has posted a series of critical statements on her official Twitter account addressing recent political controversies and national security concerns.
On March 27, 2026, Kamlager-Dove commented on allegations against the sitting president: “It would be no surprise that the most corrupt president in history stole documents for personal financial gain. This is a man who has exploited the presidency to make over $1 billion from crypto alone just this term. The presidency isn’t a tool to make money. We need answers.”
The following day, March 28, she criticized actions taken by an individual named Kash regarding FBI personnel: “Maybe Kash shouldn’t have fired the people at the FBI who specialize in Iran counterterrorism if he didn’t want his email to be hacked by Iran. How is this unqualified loser supposed to protect the American people if he can’t even protect himself?”
Later that same day, Kamlager-Dove addressed concerns about servicemembers’ careers and alleged discrimination: “I am pissed. @TheBlackCaucus is pissed. The @DemWomenCaucus is pissed. And you should be too. We’re not gonna let Pete Hegseth’s unqualified self derail the careers of exemplary, deserving servicemembers simply because of his and Trump’s racism and misogyny.”
Sydney Kamlager-Dove has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Karen Bass and previously held positions in both the California State Assembly (2018-2021) and California Senate (2021-2023). She was born in Chicago in 1972 and currently resides in Los Angeles. Kamlager-Dove graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
