Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, has used her social media platform to criticize actions by members of the Trump administration and express concerns about national security.
On February 24, 2026, Kamlager-Dove posted: “Kash Patel’s taxpayer-funded vacations are literally impeding the FBI’s ability to protect Americans. Korrupt Kash must go.”
Two days later, on February 25, 2026, she addressed former President Donald Trump’s conduct during a major political event: “I couldn’t just sit and watch Trump make a mockery of the State of the Union with democracy on the brink. I’m speaking at People’s State of the Union to talk about everything Donald Trump won’t. Tune in!”
On February 26, 2026, Kamlager-Dove made further allegations regarding transparency and national security: “Let’s be clear: the Trump Administration covered up that Jared Kushner was allegedly compromised by foreign agents, covered up the coverup, and still won’t share the original intelligence with Congress. Americans deserve to know if—and how—our national security was compromised.”
Sydney Kamlager-Dove has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding Karen Bass. She previously held positions in both the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and in the California Senate from 2021 to 2023. Born in Chicago in 1972 and currently residing in Los Angeles, Kamlager-Dove earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1994.
