Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on her social media accounts between February 17 and 18, 2026, addressing the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson and extending greetings for Lunar New Year and Ramadan.

On February 17, Kamlager-Dove expressed her condolences regarding the death of Rev. Jesse Jackson, stating: “I’m devastated by the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson. Later that day, she extended holiday wishes to her constituents in Los Angeles for Lunar New Year: “Happy Lunar New Year, LA!

As a member of @CAPAC, I’m wishing you and your loved ones a prosperous year ahead!” (posted February 17, 2026).

On February 18, Kamlager-Dove also recognized Ramadan with another message: “Ramadan Mubarak!

I’m wishing all those celebrating in LA and across the world a Ramadan filled with peace, reflection, and spiritual renewal.” (posted February 18, 2026).
