Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing national remembrance and upcoming international events.
On December 7, 2025, Kamlager-Dove marked the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks with a tribute: “Today, on December 7, we honor the memory of soldiers, sailors, and civilians lost their lives in the Pearl Harbor attacks 84 years ago today. We remember the heroes who served on that fateful day and commend the veterans who chose to join the fight in the days that followed.”
Later that evening, she engaged with journalist Elex Michaelson by sharing personal favorites: “Shared some of my faves with @Elex_Michaelson! What are yours?” This post encouraged followers to participate in an ongoing conversation about preferences or recommendations.
On December 8, Kamlager-Dove addressed preparations for hosting international visitors during an upcoming major sporting event: “Thank you to @SecRubio for rolling out FIFA PASS to streamline visas for World Cup attendees, a key ask in the letter I sent with @RepYoungKim in May. With all eyes on the US and LA, we can’t let bureaucratic red tape or partisanship get in the way of a successful games.”
Sydney Kamlager-Dove has been serving as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Karen Bass. She previously held positions in both the California State Assembly from 2018 to 2021 and the California Senate from 2021 to 2023. Born in Chicago in 1972 and currently residing in Los Angeles at age 50, she is also an alumna of the University of Southern California (USC), graduating with a BA in 1994.
