Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who represents California’s 37th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on January 21, 2026, addressing foreign policy and national security concerns.
In a tweet from early morning, Kamlager-Dove criticized the State Department’s recent decision regarding Afghan allies: “I’m horrified by the State Department’s decision to close down Camp As Sayliyah, where 1,100 Afghans have been awaiting relocation to the United States, many for over a year. We owe those Afghans who supported the U.S. mission a future in the United States.” (January 21, 2026)
Later that day, she commented on bipartisan efforts concerning technology exports: “I support my Republican colleagues in pushing for greater Congressional oversight of Trump’s efforts to sell our most advanced AI chips to China. Trump is recklessly endangering our national security and Congress needs to reel him in.” (January 21, 2026)
