At 12:05 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, the Washington State Cougars, featuring former Salesian High School standout Erik Rodriguez, secured a 6-2 win in their NCAA Division I contest against the Grand Canyon Antelopes.

The matchup was held at Bailey-Brayton Field and marked the teams’ third meeting this season, with the series now tied.

Rodriguez pitched 1.1 innings, surrendering two earned runs and issuing one walk.

The Cougars will face the Gonzaga Bulldogs next on Tuesday, March 24, at Patterson Baseball Complex and Coach Steve Hertz Field.
