The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Tony Cardenas, Tony Cardenas for Congress, refunded $1,000 to Silvia Aldana on Sept. 7, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

FEC data shows the refunded expenditure was for: "Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company."

Tony Cardenas for Congress has refunded $1,500 total since April 1.
