Vice President Kamala Harris made an initial appearance as a new presidential candidate on a promo for RuPaul's Drag Race.

"We are all in this together," she said in the clip. "And your vote is your power. So please make sure your voice is heard this November, and register to vote at Vote.Gov."

Harris was named the new Democrat candidate for the upcoming presidential election after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race on July 21 and endorsed his former running mate in a post on X.

RuPaul's Drag Race is a reality television show about cross-dressing men who compete in various challenges and are judged by RuPaul, who has been named "the queen of drag" for his work as a drag queen. The show has filmed sixteen seasons and created spinoffs in Canada and the UK.

The guest appearance on the show was in a segment from "The Werk Room," where Harris appeared alongside figures like Leslie Jones and Lance Bass. "Each day we are seeing our rights and freedoms under attack," Harris said in the exclusive clip. "Including the right of everyone to be who they are love who they love openly and with pride. So as we fight back against these attacks, let's all remember no one is alone. We are all in this together and your vote is your power."

RuPaul’s Drag Race was started in 2009 and is directed by Nick Murray. The show’s production company, World of Wonder, is based in Los Angeles, where they film the majority of the episodes.

Harris was elected to be the first female Vice President alongside Biden in 2020. Before being elected as Vice President, Harris served as the District Attorney of San Francisco, the Attorney General of California, and as a U.S. Senator from California.
