The Youth Development Department (YDD) has relaunched its Earn Learn Play website, aiming to provide a more user-friendly interface and expanded youth programming and services. The updated portal, accessible at https://earnlearnplay.lacity.gov/, offers information on numerous free and low-cost recreational, educational, and paid internship programs available in Los Angeles.
Earn Learn Play serves as a centralized platform where youth, their caretakers, and families can find various opportunities within the city. Through the site's interactive map feature, users can input their zip codes to locate nearby programs for earning, learning, and playing during the summer months.
"I am thrilled to see our commitment to providing valuable resources for the youth in our community continue to expand," said YDD General Manager Lisa Salazar. "The relaunch of Earn Learn Play signifies a new chapter of growth and opportunity, where city programs and services can be easily found with a simple interactive map. We are dedicated to our mission of helping make a positive and equitable impact in the lives of LA youth and their families."
The YDD has collaborated with over 20 City of LA Departments to incorporate their youth-oriented services and programs into the site. This collaboration aims to broaden program reach and accessibility for all young residents of Los Angeles.
Earn Learn Play is an initiative led by the Youth Development Department in partnership with the offices of Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmember Monica Rodriguez, LA Unified School District, and GPSN's Summer of Joy initiative.
