She criticized the Republican proposal to cut Medicaid funding, stating: "It’s shameful that Republicans want to cut Medicaid—a vital program that needs more funding, not less."

On March 20, 2025, she further addressed healthcare issues by hosting a roundtable discussion with patients and providers during the Medicaid Day of Action. She emphasized the impact of proposed Republican healthcare cuts on California's 37th district and highlighted that "Medicaid shouldn't be partisan—it helps people in both blue and red districts."

In another tweet on March 20, 2025, Kamlager-Dove expressed her opposition to Darren Beattie's role as a diplomat. She labeled him as "a white nationalist and Uyghur genocide denier," arguing he is unfit for representing American values globally. Consequently, she led an initiative with 43 colleagues urging Secretary Rubio for Beattie's dismissal.
