Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued the following announcement on Aug. 28.
Ivermectin has not been proven as a way to prevent or treat COVID-19. Veterinary formulations intended for cattle deworming can result in overdose in humans. If you show symptoms, seek immediate medical attention or call the poison control hotline at 800-222-1222
