The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) has been ranked as the most sustainable utility in 2024, according to the J.D. Power Sustainability Index. The index evaluates the current climate sustainability of utility companies and their plans for increasing clean energy.

LADWP saw a ten-point increase from its 2023 ranking, making it the utility company with the most improvements among the 35 largest utilities in the United States. Factors contributing to this improvement include the expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging plazas, increased EV rebates, and new solar and battery storage initiatives.
