City of Los Angeles issued the following announcement on Sep 3.
Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no collection service on Monday, September 6 for residential or recycLA customers. Collection services will be delayed by one day throughout the week. If your normal collection day is Monday, your bins will be serviced Tuesday. Tuesday collections will happen Wednesday, Wednesday collections will happen Thursday, Thursday collections will happen Friday, and Friday collections will happen Saturday.

Although our offices will be closed on Monday, September 6, our friendly 24-hour Customer Care Center will be available to assist you at 1-800-773-2489.
