Los Angeles County Fire Department issued the following announcement on Sep 3.
The SuperScoopers are here! Québec 1 & 2 have safely arrived in LA County and will be in service, starting tomorrow.
They join our arsenal of aerial firefighting resources, available 24 hours a day, including the recently added Boeing Chinook CH-47, known as Helitanker 55.
These aircraft are critical resources that augment the LACoFD’s response during wildfire season.
And remember, it’s never too late for you to be prepared, too. You can download the Ready! Set! Go! Wildfire Action Plan from our website at www.fire.lacounty.gov/RSG.
