On September 19, 2024, the Center for Digital Government (CDG) announced the winners of the eighth annual Government Experience Awards. These awards highlight the efforts of states, cities, and counties that have enhanced government services to better engage with their communities and improve responsiveness.

This year's awardees have focused on redesigning websites and enhancing services by incorporating AI technology. They have implemented single sign-on systems, constituent and customer service platforms, and inclusive technologies such as improved accessibility features, mobility options, broadband provision, and transparency measures. The winners utilized generative AI, customer experience portals, multilingual chatbots, live chat functions, voice submissions, online help resources, location services, and personalization to enhance constituent experiences across various domains.

In total, thirty-six Government Experience Project Awards were distributed across four categories: city, county, state, and special districts. A complete list of award recipients is available for viewing.
