Rep. Jimmy Gomez, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 34th district since 2017, recently took to social media to express his concerns on various pressing issues. His posts addressed topics ranging from privacy legislation to international conflicts and historical injustices.

On February 18, 2025, Rep. Gomez tweeted about privacy concerns involving high-profile figures and cryptocurrency: "Thanks, @SRuhle, for helping sound the alarm. Musk and DOGE's illegal attempts to steal personal taxpayer info shouldn't be ignored. We just need 3 House Republicans to step up and join us in passing legislation to keep Americans' info and money safe."

In a tweet dated February 19, 2025, Rep. Gomez voiced his support for Ukraine amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions: "Only Ukraine, a sovereign nation, should be able to determine its own future. Trump allowing Russia's illegal invasion to proceed unchecked threatens not just Ukraine, but democracies worldwide. I'll continue to stand with the Ukrainian people in their fight for freedom."

Later that day on February 19, he reflected on a historical injustice concerning Japanese Americans during World War II: "Today, we remember the over 120,000 Japanese Americans who were unjustly incarcerated during WWII. Their stories are a reminder of what happens when fear and discrimination take hold. As civil rights come under attack, we have to stay vigilant and act to make sure history doesn’t…"
