Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 34th district since 2017, has recently shared his views on economic and political issues via social media. With a background in both the U.S. Congress and the California State Assembly, Gomez is known for his critical perspectives on current affairs.

On March 6, 2025, Rep. Jimmy Gomez posed a rhetorical question aimed at billionaires who appear indifferent to the financial struggles of ordinary citizens. He asked "What would you say to a billionaire who doesn’t give a damn if you can’t afford groceries, your kid’s clothes, or a way to get to work?!"

Two days later, on March 7, 2025, he commented on the actions of former President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk by stating that their behavior has led to market instability. He noted that "Trump and Musk crying wolf for the past month has created too much uncertainty and tanked the stock market… Changing policy might not fix it when no one believes them."

Later that same day, Rep. Gomez expressed concerns about the economic impact of Trump's return to office. He highlighted that "One full month into Trump’s return to office, and the economy is in a Trump Slump... Job growth fell short, unemployment rising, and working families paying the price—just like last time."
