The Youth Development Department is organizing the L.A. Youth Expo 2025, a resource fair designed for young people and their families. This year's event marks the third annual gathering, aiming to provide numerous opportunities for youth empowerment and development.

The event will feature various activities, including job-hiring referrals, interactive Career and Workforce Development workshops, and sessions on healthy meal preparation. Attendees will also have access to a Wildfire recovery resource booth and Mental Health & Wellness workshops. One highlight of the event is the activity zone, which showcases arts and culture and hosts a fashion runway show blending current trends with appropriate workplace attire.

Initiated in 2023 by the Youth Development Department, in conjunction with multiple city youth-serving organizations, the expo intends to enhance workforce readiness, foster professional growth, and boost self-esteem among the youth. The department expresses enthusiasm for the participation in what it aims to be a "motivational and transformative day."

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, from 9 am to 3 pm PDT, at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College, located at 400 West Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA. Interested individuals can register online through the Eventbrite platform.
