Rep. Jimmy Gomez, currently serving California's 34th congressional district, has taken to social media to express his concerns regarding recent political developments. The congressman addressed issues involving Elon Musk's access to sensitive personal information and criticized the current administration's policies.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Jimmy Gomez shared that his constituents from California’s 34th district were concerned about "Elon Musk having access to their Social Security number, bank information, and federal payments." In response to these concerns, Gomez stated he was seeking answers from the Treasury Department.

In a subsequent post on February 5, 2025, Gomez highlighted a lesson learned during his time as a union organizer: “the 10 people who speak up make more noise than the 10,000 people who stay silent.” He criticized former President Donald Trump for allegedly granting excessive influence to Elon Musk and others described as "unelected and corrupt cronies."

Later on February 5, Gomez reacted strongly against an idea attributed to Trump regarding foreign policy in Gaza. He expressed opposition by stating: "Trump, you wanna take over Gaza? Hell no!" He argued that such actions would unnecessarily risk American lives and exacerbate suffering for Palestinians and Israelis.
