Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 34th district since 2017, recently shared several messages via social media. Known for his advocacy on issues affecting working families and education, Gomez took to Twitter to express support for local events and address economic concerns.

On March 16, 2025, Rep. Gomez extended his best wishes to participants in the Los Angeles Marathon. He tweeted: "Good luck to all Students Run LA @LASchools and everyone running today at the 40th @LAMarathon—we’re all rooting for you!"

Later that day, Gomez criticized former President Trump’s economic policies in another tweet dated March 16, 2025. He stated: "Trump promised to lower prices, but he’s only made things worse. Groceries, housing, child care—everything is more expensive, and people are struggling. We need real solutions that put working families first. That's what I'm focused on, and my colleagues should do the same."

The following day on March 17, 2025, Rep. Gomez encouraged high school students from California's 34th district to participate in an art competition. His message read: " Hey, #CA34 high school students! You can still submit your artwork for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition—deadline is Friday, April 18th! Don’t miss your chance to have your work displayed in the Capitol."
