Rep. Jimmy Gomez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 34th district, expressed his concerns and criticisms about recent political developments in a series of tweets made on April 2, 2025. Additionally, Rep. Gomez highlighted perceived biases in trade policies by pointing out the omission of a particular country from a tariff list, posting at 22:45 on April 2, 2025, "Guess which country was left off the new Trump Tariff list? You guessed it, Russia. I guess Trump is trying to make Russia great again." His remarks suggest a critique of Trump's international policy decisions, hinting at questionable foreign relations.
