In a series of recent tweets, U.S. Representative Jimmy Gomez from California's 34th District shared his views on various political topics. Gomez, who succeeded Xavier Becerra in 2017, has been an active voice in Congress and continues to represent his constituents from Los Angeles.

On March 27, 2025, Gomez commented on issues of trust and transparency in government. He expressed skepticism about some of his political counterparts by highlighting inconsistencies within their actions. Referring to alleged war planning activities, he stated: "Funny how the ones yelling 'drain the swamp' are the same ones making war plans in an unsecured group chat and then lying about it."

Later that day, Gomez shifted his attention to baseball, expressing enthusiasm for the start of the Los Angeles Dodgers' new season. He tweeted his excitement for the team's home games: "It’s OPENING DAYYYYYYYYY! @Dodgers Season 145! Can’t wait to watch the team bring another World Series home to LA."

In a subsequent tweet, Gomez addressed issues related to voting rights and executive actions. Criticizing former President Donald Trump, Gomez wrote: "Noncitizens can’t vote. Trump knows this. But he’s pushing an unlawful executive order to block millions of eligible voters anyway. Rich coming from the guy who incited an insurrection after losing fair and square in 2020. "
