He criticized attempts by Elon Musk and associates to influence the Department of Labor's direction, asserting that "The Department of Labor exists to protect workers, not to serve billionaires. Now, Musk and his DOGE cronies want to take over and put a target on workers’ backs." He warned that such changes could result in reduced wages and protections for workers.
