As the new Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on South & Central Asia, she expressed her intention to deepen these diplomatic ties.

Later on February 17, she highlighted ongoing legal challenges against actions by the Trump Administration. "Democrats are fighting back." She noted that Democrats are supporting over 70 lawsuits challenging what they consider illegal acts by the administration and emphasized that many actions have been temporarily blocked by courts.
